And the winners are ... Memphis Faces

The Donahue is all about people, getting to know them, understanding what makes them tick, spelling their names correctly.
Our readers gave the thumbs-up to some of these well-known folks who give this city something to cheer about.
One that our host visited was O.J. Mayo, voted Best Pro Athlete. Before Mayo arrived at the locker room at FedExForum, The Donahue chatted up Grizz, the team mascot, and compared styling notes. When Mayo arrived, our sporting host handed over the prized "M" and the star player graciously accepted. There were no mayonnaise jokes.
Over in radioland, the morning duo of Drake and Zeke (98.1 The Max) had won the balloting for Best Radio Personality. The Donahue and retinue stormed through the station being hushed by producers, and finally squeezed into the broadcast booth. The Host for Memphis Most handled his radio interview with the usual aplomb.
D and Z made a point of noting that they hadn't campaigned for the Memphis Most Award, suggested it was an indicator of true fan love. The Donahue observed that he had shamelessly campaigned for Best Party Crasher and won.
Interesting note: He is one of the few to have outpolled Mayor Willie Herenton. Might we see The Donahue running for something? Or away from something?
